Dark gray Gutter Helmet cover installed over a gutter on a shingle roof

Gutter Helmet protection

The patented cover that installs over the gutters you already own — and ends the clogs, the overflow, and the ladder.

Your gutters aren’t the problem. What gets into them is.

Every fall the leaves come down, every winter the melt refreezes, and twice a year someone climbs a ladder to deal with it. Gutter Helmet closes the gutter to debris and leaves it open to water — so the system you already own finally works on its own.

A solid, textured cover uses surface tension to pull rainwater around the nose-forward edge and through a 3/8″ horizontal slit. Leaves, pine needles, and sticks can’t make the turn — they slide off the front. See the full mechanism →

Made to disappear into your roofline

Panels are measured and custom-fit to your home, in eight standard colors plus solid copper — most homeowners stop noticing them within a week. Most installs wrap in a single visit, and your existing gutters stay right where they are.

The details, when you want them

Everything a careful buyer asks us, one tap deep.

What is the PermaLife coating?

A Kynar-based finish that resists UV and acid rain, with no perceptible fade for 20 years. It’s the reason a fifteen-year-old installation still looks like the roofline it was fitted to.

What holds it on?

Dacromet-coated fasteners and poly-butyl sealant — marine-grade corrosion resistance at every attachment point, fitted without disturbing your shingles.

Does it affect my roof warranty?

No. Both the product and the installation procedures have been evaluated and approved by major roofing manufacturers.

What does the warranty cover?

Gutter Helmet is backed by a lifetime product warranty from the Gutter Helmet brand — the national product line Keystone Gutter Helmet is an authorized dealer and installer of.

Will it handle a Pennsylvania winter?

Clear gutters drain meltwater instead of holding it. For rooflines that build ice dams, Helmet Heat adds a self-regulating heating cable at the eaves — the two systems are designed to work together.
